From the foothills of the Alps, Piedmont in north-west Italy is a beautiful and prestigious wine making region. In 1980, Barolo became one of the first Italian wines to receive DOCG status.
About the Producer
Tenimenti Ca'Bianca are a relatively new winery based in the commune of Alice Bel Colle, bringing with them enthusiasm and passion as well as an eagerness to embrace technology to help them make the best wines possible.
Woodland aromas lead into ripe red fruits, cloves, vanilla pod, liquorice and hints of blueberries. The tannins are fine and the acidity is well balanced. This can be aged for several years if you favour complexity over outright freshness.
Food & Wine
Great with meats and most Italian cuisine, especially if topped with truffle shavings. Cheeses also work well, helping to soften the tannins in the wine
