Romania has a nearly perfect geography for wine production. It has a great variety of soils as well as a number of mountain ranges such as the Carpathians, whose foothills make perfect homes for vines and natural composition works as a natural barrier against the elements. It benefits from the same latitude as Bordeaux but the climate is drier and more continental.
Romanian wine is certainly one to watch; a number of small, craft producers are paving the way for its future, and benefiting from large volumes of investment being put into the industry from the EU and beyond. The industry here is only going to grow both in terms of volume and quality, and so we thought it best we stock up! Check out all our Romanian wine through searching by country on our website.
