Portugal has made it's name from a plethora of native grape varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Alvarinho and Bastardo. The heady reds of the Douro and the fresh grassy Vinho Verdes are wonderfully unique, while the indulgent and loosely eponymous Port has led the fortified wine genre for centuries.
