These ‘middle of the road’ dwellers are not to be overlooked in the red category. They take the best assets from both light and full bodied reds: subtle fruit and a bold structure respectively. They are also fabulous food pairing wines. The classic example, Sangiovese, famous for Tuscan Chianti was made to be paired with delicious Italian cuisine.
