This is a story of a hero, Olivier Decelle, injecting life and vitality back into an estate in distress. Château Jean Faure is located in the illustrious Saint-Emilion region of Bordeaux, just a stone’s throw from Cheval Blanc. Yet, it takes more than terroir to make a legendary wine. The estate was neglected and in 1986, Jean Faure lost its Grand Cru Classé status. Since 2004 Decelle has worked his magic yet again as his vision and philosophy of natural farming has brought Jean Faure to the level expected of a top-tier Saint-Emilion estate. In 2012 his achievements were officially recognised when Grand Cru Classé status was restored to Château Jean Faure.
