From the oldest surviving wine producing château in Saint-Emilion comes this incredible Grand Cru Classe wine. Sensationally moreish, fragrant and textured wine created by the renowned Olivier Decelle. If you like Cheval Blanc, you'll love this!
About the Producer
Château Jean Faure is located in the illustrious Saint-Emilion region of Bordeaux, just a stone's throw from Cheval Blanc. Part visionary, part taskmaster, and 100% dedicated to world-class Bordeaux, Olivier Decelle has in a few short years, transformed the long-neglected estate of Jean Faure to Grand Cru Classe status.
The aroma is reminiscent of freshly laid tarmac combined with a baked raspberry character, setting the scene for the plush and broad mouthfeel that is both succulent and glossy. Ripe and juicy red and black fruits mingle with sweet spices and hints of liquorice. The tannins are evident but sit in the background, making this a wine that fills the palate with gentle textures. Ideal for drinking over the next 5+ years.
